Rp @トレーシー・エリス・ロス Happy Birthday Miss Diana Ross!! What a blessing? #CentralParkNYinTheRainConcert I was very fortunate to share this story with Miss Ross a few years ago and it's not much to it but the feeling runs deeply.
I was in our living room in 1983,I was in the 7th grade.My Uncle told me & my cousins that Diana Ross was performing and it would be aired on WHT..(only 35 & up folk will remember this??)anyway..watching Miss Ross in all of her beauty,grace & joy,it started to rain and so did Miss Ross.She embraced the "reign" as if it was exactly what she had hoped for.She started to sing "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" you know..the talking part.In that moment I felt like I was the only one in the world that she was speaking to...yup...through the TV.Talk about touching/reaching someone!! I cried,I mean boo-hoo cried.In that moment I said "Yup,God.I'm going to be a star one day" I remember it like it was yesterday❤️ Miss Ross will forever be CLASSIC.A regal woman she's always been.I hope we'll get back to the essence of what being an artist is all about.....only a hand full.I've been inspired by more of course but The Boss was THEE one.#MushyMelinda #ChattyCathy #SensitiveSuzie #LOVINGLola #YepImAllOfThat?☺️?
