"It's a designer thing to collect stuff," says Tucker Viemeister, an industrial designer who has collected more than 200 tubes of toothpaste from his travels around the world and displays them on the bathroom walls in his Manhattan loft. The tube that launched his collection back in 1985 is from Finland, and has the word "Fluorihammastahna" (fluoride toothpaste in Finnish) down the side.
