"Running into #ActionBronson was definitely one of the highlights for me of this year's #SXSW. He's such an interesting character than you can't help but notice him. I was on stage shooting the Boiler Room event featuring Kaytranada, Just Blaze, Dipset and Funkmaster Flex, and out of nowhere Action Bronson appears behind the stage, not as an artist but rather as a fan. Throughout, he was just chilling somewhere in the back, surrounded by a haze of smoke. As soon as the party ended, I asked him for a quick portrait. Nothing fancy or stylized, just a simple portrait against a white backround, which is actually the best way to capture such a personality. The beard, the smoke trails and the cool calm demeanor are quintessential Action Bronson. Then before you know it, he vanishes thru the back exit just as quickly and quietly as he came in."
