Two dozen people were confirmed dead Monday and thousands were displaced after a powerful cyclone ravaged the Pacific archipelago of Vanuatu two days earlier, according to the @UnitedNations.

At least 33,000 people were forced from their damaged or destroyed homes when the cyclone carrying winds of more than 150 mph tore through Vanuatu, where most houses are built with flimsy materials.
