If you are near Los Angeles this Thursday the 19th and love great #photography, please go see my very good friend John Trotter, @Unamericain, as he presents his "No Agua, No Vida” project. The pictures give visual evidence of human alterations to the Colorado River & is consequences.

The event will be held at the #AnnenbergSpaceforPhotography, in Los Angeles @6:30 pdt. Seating is limited, if you want a seat you should pre-register on their website. #SkylightStudios at 10050 Constellation Boulevard is the venue.

Attend if you are interested in water issues, especially those pertaining to the Colorado River.
John started to think about the project when he crossed the #ColoradoRiver on a cross country bicycle trip in 1995. He then crossed the #GreenRiver, which is one of the main tributaries of the Colorado as he headed east on the 5100 mile trip. He became acutely aware as the miles passed, of the need for #water; for survival & it’s value as a scarce resource that gives life.

#MarcReisner’s book, #CadillacDesert further inspired John on his journey, which as led to this beautiful work.
