I'm going way deep in the archives on this one. I shot this photo in winter of 1995 on my parents porch, about 6 months after getting my first camera. It was one of those hazy days where you could actually see the perfect sphere of the sun without hurting your eyes, with an unusual rainbow prism effect on the clouds below. I shot the better part of a roll of Fuji #velvia, bracketing mostly, and was pleasantly surprised to see this one when I picked up my film the next day. It was a great early lesson on the power of under exposure and how cool photography is, setting me down new paths of experimentation. It's never changed, to this day I love experimenting, working hard for a single photo, the hunt and the entire process that surrounds photography.
