If the ‘woman on the street’ ever inspired a designer, it would be the eccentric lady, the one who stood out, not the ‘normal’ lady on the street. In my long experience of fashion people, they identified with cultural outsiders who never fitted in, were rebellious and wanted to deconstruct the norm. I get that part as I’m one of those too."
