Here in Studio A of Capitol Records, several blocks away from the Dolby Theatre, the Academy Orchestra is rehearsing the songs they will play on Sunday. For years the orchestra sat beneath the Oscar stage. But now they perform here live as the show is fed on monitors. This allows for the show to utilize more sets (which can be much larger than before) without compromising the sound - which will be played live, but simply down the street.
