Meet Neel from Austin. The mother of a 19-year-old special needs child recounts her son's ride:

Hunter [my son] used Uber to go from the North Austin area to a doctor's appointment. Hunter and his driver went all the way out to the appointment.

My phone rang while I was in a meeting, and I had a message from his driver telling me that he had taken my son, whose name he didn’t know, to an appointment. He knew that my son planned to Uber back, but the driver noticed that there were no Uber cars in vicinity to the location and it might be difficult for him to get a ride back.

By the time I was able to return the call, the driver, Neel, had taken it upon himself to find my son. Not knowing my son’s name or the doctor, he went into the building, found my son and told him he would wait for him to finish the appointment and take him back to his apartment in time for class.
