#Sustainability might be a new trend for other companies, but it's a long standing part of #Ford #history. What may look like a plain old #ModelT steering wheel is actually made from a rubber composition called Fordite.
Among its other materials, Fordite was made with straw from Ford farms and wood pulp from the River Rouge. While the formula has changed over the years, Fordite is a product still used in many vehicles today, along with many other sustainable materials like #recycled blue jeans, yarn and soda bottles.
