?Tutorial and tips for today's Valentines Day watermarble?
1⃣ Start with a dry white base. To prep my nails for easy cleanup I used @minimanimoonails "Mess No More" and let it dry until it turned clear (about 5 minutes)
2⃣ Drip your polishes into a cup filled with room temperature water to create a "bullseye". I used @ellamilapolish for this mani and they worked perfectly? not all polishes or formulas spread well, so make sure to test each one you plan on using in your watermarble. I've found that newer/thinner polishes work best. Also have your polishes open and ready to go, and try to work quickly so your polish doesn't dry on the surface of the water before you make your design.
3⃣ Begin by creating 4 strokes pulling from the outer rings towards the center, diving the bullseye into fourths. I used a tool from @stylishnailartshop for this step. Then divide two of the fourths in half, and split each of those fourths in half again (lmao ugh math?). This will leave you with nice narrow "petals".
4⃣ Find a spot you like in the design and dip your finger in
5⃣ While your finger is still underwater, give the leftover polish on the surface a few seconds to dry. Then just swirl a cotton swab around to clean up the water, and slowly remove your finger.
6⃣ I removed my @minimanimoonails "Mess No More" and cleaned up whatever polish was left around my cuticle with an angled brush and acetone?
7⃣ Seal with topcoat. I use Seche Vite✨
