My new foster dog was tested positive for heartworms. ? Dogs with heartworms have to go through painful injections and weeks of rest, not to mention hundreds of dollars for the treatment for the rescue groups. And too many dogs with heart worms in shelters are being put to sleep every day. This could have been easily prevented by his previous family for just $5-8 each month.
