This week’s edition of #SundayStories is fittingly a flashback to a snowy Canadian photo shoot with vintage @jpgaultierofficial couture that ended up taking the entire night. ?❄️? Four winters ago I was invited to fly to Montreal to shoot a very special cover and editorial for @ellecanada in celebration of Jean Paul Gaultier’s amazing museum retrospective opening in Canada for the first time that year. I woke up in the morning, and just as I was ready to leave for the studio I got a call to wait a few hours before coming in. Apparently, the Gaultier clothing was stuck at customs coming from France. Later that day I got to the photographer Nelson Simoneau's studio and sat down for hair and makeup. We finished my look but the clothes still had not arrived! Another eight hours passed by, and it was 11PM when finally the clothes arrived at the studio. We all woke up and shot the editorial through the night! I loved shooting with these iconic JPG pieces and am so glad to be part of the Gaultier family. It was a long long day, but in the end completely worth the wait. I dont look sleepy, do I?
