When I was ten, my best friend chopped my right pointer finger nearly off with lopping shears while we were gathering bamboo to build a secret, hidden fort. Like you do. My brother took the fall because we thought he would get in less trouble than my bestie. Luckily my finger was saved and I still have it attached and useable. But naturally I have a fear of lopping shears. Obviously, 25 years later, he is using the lopping shears fear against me. And now I have this string of texts from my brother, demanding me to send him my old iPhone or he'll chop another finger with Mr. Loppy McShears. Aren't brothers wonderful?
