What a reunion at the Cafe Con Leche 20yr reunion party on Sunday!
No words can describe the love I have for this woman. Ivy was my 1st jazz teacher when I was 11yrs old in the Junior K Company at Kips Bay. People lied and said I had to join the junior company before being in K Company, which was bullshit....but thank goodness they did. Certain people just have such an impact it changes the course of your life. Ivy was such a sweet hard ass and her discipline has stuck with me throughout my career. It was so nice seeing her and all my other inspirations at a young age @anthonyrodriguezeyes @marlynortiz....love you all. I can totally understand why their style of teaching was really inspired by the club life in the 90s. I'm so meant to do what I'm doing and I'm so thankful to have had these amazing people as mentors.
