Hello everyone..... I can't believe it's already 2-0-1-5! Two-thousand-and-fifteen, here we go! I hope you all spent your Holidays among family, friends, and loved ones.

I was in Hawaii soaking up inspiration and fully absorbing myself in nature... nature is everything to me and I often miss some of it's raw state while living in New York. We now live in Tribeca, and although I appreciate the fabric here, concrete and cobble stones, I often think of Africa and growing up there. Hawaii had so much color! I won't bore you with details but there was one moment, we were up on a helicopter touring the big island's north coast, and I looked down on the ocean, through a rainbow and saw hundreds of whales swimming as dark shadows. I wished I had been able to paint right there and then (if I could only fit an easel, canvas and paint set into a helicopter smile emoticon... Vacation is nice, because it gives you an opportunity to stop and look inwards. So, I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on this past year. The one work that comes to mind - or heart, perhaps - is thankfulness.
I feel so incredibly thankful for all of YOU. Yes, you... for supporting my art. You are a true friend, and I hope to become one of yours in 2015 by continuing to connect you to my art - and the world as I see it.. much love ? ps. yes that's me underneath the tree!
