REALLY LONG POST ALERT:
So, M'show was cancelled. BENCHED is no more. Am I sad? No. Why not? Because being the lead of an incredible show like that is just about as far as the little girl from NH dreamed. So, if that is possible than what else is possible? I feel inspired, not sad. However, although it's not necessarily sadness that I feel, I do have a pretty deep hole in my heart because I will no longer be able to see all those truly brilliant, wonderful, talented people every day. And now look, I know those words.. 'brilliant' 'wonderful' and 'talented' get thrown around all the time but when I say those words to describe the people who worked on BENCHED, I mean them to the fullest extent of their true definition.
From the creators to the crew to the cast- ALL truly brilliant, wonderful an breathtakingly talented. I am honored, truly frickin' honored to have even shared a space with all those people for a few months. I learned more on that set than I have in any classroom or other tv set. Every single one of the people I came in contact with each day taught me something and most of those lessons were indirectly about how to be a better person. They didn't even know they were teaching me that, they were just being the beautiful beings that they naturally are and well, it sunk in and made me want to be better. I am grateful for such an incomparable life experience. I would take one season of that over 10 seasons of anything even a whisker less than that. Everything that BENCHED was is why I love doing what I do.
So, I say thank you to EVERYONE involved with BENCHED and another thank you to all of you who supported the show.
Thank you so so much.
