Ich danke dem Fan-Club Nationalmannschaft, den Usern von dfb.de und UEFA.com und allen, die mir ihre Stimme gegeben haben. Die Wahl zum Nationalspieler des Weltmeister-Jahres 2014 bedeutet mir viel, weil sie von Fans aus der ganzen Welt begleitet wurde. Und es ist eine große Ehre, in das uefa.com-Team des Jahres gewählt zu werden. Eigentlich bin ich kein großer Fan von Einzelauszeichnungen, weil wir in unserem Sport nur als Mannschaft gewinnen können. Daher bedanke ich mich beim ganzen Team, das im vergangenen Jahr 2014 hervorragend funktioniert hat. Für mich wird dieses Jahr durch das Double mit dem FC Bayern, den WM-Titel, den Wechsel zu Real Madrid, den europäischen Super-Cup und den Gewinn der Klub-WM immer ein Highlight in meiner Karriere sein. Die Auszeichnung als Nationalspieler des Weltmeister-Jahres 2014 und die Wahl ins uefa.com-Team des Jahres runden diese tollen Erinnerungen ab.

I wanna thank the fan club of our national team, the users of dfb.de and uefa.com and all of you who have given me their vote. The vote for the national player of the year 2014 and the election for the uefa.com team of the year mean a lot to me because it was accompanied by fans from all over the world. In fact, I'm not a big fan of individual awards, because we can only win as a team in our sport. Therefore, I would like to thank the whole DFB-Team for cooperating extremely well in the past year. For me, this year with winning the Double with Bayern, the World Championship, the move to Real Madrid, the European Super Cup and winning the Club World Cup will always be a highlight in my career. The election of the National Player of the World Cup year 2014 and to be part of the uefa.com team of the year complements these great memories.
