Jan 1st 2009 Oscar Grant lost his life in Oakland senselessly to a police officer who made a very bad judgement & took an unarmed mans life. This post is not to stir HATE, not to be taken as a BLACK or WHITE thing & definitely not to incite any RACIAL comments or BEEFS. It's actually not about ME or YOU either, it's about remembering a man that was murdered on this day 6 years ago & honoring him & his now 9 year old daughter Tatiana Grant. We will not let the memory of your father die & we will take what happened to him & so many others who've succumbed fatally to police brutality from ALL RACES & try to become a POWER from within to restrengthen ourselves as AMERICAN people so that from this day forward this happens less & less in the future. We're not going to stop it completely but we can TRY. We're not going to all agree on the same things in life but we can TRY. We're not going to ever all be the same race, but we've came along way from Dr. Martin Luther King's DREAM & John F. Kennedy's vision, & you can easily see our progress as a human race if you ALL just took the time to LOOK AROUND. Aren't we dating bi-racially ? Don't we communicate freely ? Don't we walk past each other on a daily basis country wide with no incident ? The list of things we do TOGETHER as a HUMAN RACE these days goes on & on. When does the RACE CARD stop gettin thrown around like the Joker in a game of "I DECLARE WAR" ??? Ask yourself that the next time you pull it from your deck ! Now me, you'll say: he's talking all this PEACE shit but he's a GANG MEMBER, but I'm also a FATHER whose made AMAZING leaps into a more POSITIVE light not only for me & my children, but for you & yours as well as so many people I've helped along my way since the beginning of my career. Yes my music is VIOLENT but I've only given true testaments from my life about things I've witnessed growing up in Compton Ca, hoping to shed light to my listeners in hopes that they get the message that the life I lived wasn't a pleasant one & I've learned a lot from it. Make it out the hood, I HAVE. Become a better person, I HAVE. Am I a SAINT, a PREACHER or JESUS, no I AM NOT. But I am a MAN & I want CHANGE NOW, DO YOU ?
