1 year ago I took to these same trails with my buddy Geoff. The conditions were slightly different. It was bitter cold with the wind chill certainly in the negatives. We set out around 4am seeking a beautiful sunrise on the top of the mountains. That's exactly what we got. At one point we stopped off for an apple & some coffee when Geoff pointed out a few beardsicles forming on my face. We shared a good laugh, forgot about the cold & enjoyed the present. There's some kind of satisfaction you can find on top of a mountain. Knowing you're above it all; not caught up in the rat race of anything. -The other day, on our hike, @wreeddarden pointed out a lonely car on the only visible road from the peak. For a moment I wondered where it was heading. Then I wondered. "Where am I heading?" My answer was simple. 'Nowhere fast' #justkeeplivin
