Today's weekly installment of #SundayStories takes us back 5 years to when my husband @JamesEdwardConran and I were first dating. ❤️ I remember I took James home to Toronto to meet the parents and while I was there I did a shoot with @flaremag magazine. The photographer, @ChrisNichollsPhotography, asked about James' background and I explained that James was an artist who specialized in murals. I guess a lightbulb went off in Chris' head - he immediately asked James (who was quietly sat off to one side reading a book) if he would like to create a chalk mural backdrop behind me, for every shot of the editorial. So that's what we did, I'd go change outfits and within 10 minutes James had created a new chalk mural inspired by my look. The editorial went so well that we actually won an award for it later that year. It was the first time we collaborated together but certainly not the last. Today James and I do literally everything together and he has made my career his own personal art project for almost 5 years now. I'm so thankful to have a creative partner like him, someone who has helped me think outside the box and do things I would have never dreamt possible. If you go to the #StudyOfPose exhibit at @Milk Gallery this week, everything you see there has James' mark on it. Though he rarely gets the credit, truly there would be no 'Coco Rocha' as you know her today without him - Xx Coco Conran ??
