Happy Thanksgiving ? ..was inspired by @mua_larisa posting last night ? so thought I'd share my sweet potato pie recipe. Everything from scratch. 1⃣ boil 2-3 large sweet potatoes and cube. Smash together 4 cups of sweet potato w/ 1 stick of unsalted butter. 2⃣ add 1 can of evaporated milk 3⃣ 1 egg, 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract 4⃣ 1 tbsp baking powder & 1 tbsp cornstarch 5⃣ 1 cup of brown sugar. 6⃣ 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon,1/4 tsp salt (or to taste); mix well and pour in two - 9 inch pie crusts. 7⃣ Bake at 300 for 2 1/2- 3 hours. Slow bake so pie crust does not burn‼️♨️ hope u like :) xo
