The first visitor for the turtle nesting season on Moreton Island has arrived! This gigantic green #turtle was lumbering back to the sea as @keiranlusk made his way along the beach this week. The Moreton Bay Marine Park is one of the few places in the world where large populations of turtles are found so close to a capital city - the island is a mere 40 kilometres offshore from #Brisbane.
