We’re delighted to introduce our new Gorilla baby boy, Mjukuu, who was born this week! The name was specially chosen because it means ‘grandchild’ or ‘second generation’ in Swahili, as little Mjukuu heralds the beginning of a second generation of gorillas born at Taronga. Both he, and first-time mum, Mbeli are doing well. Guests may catch glimpses of the youngster clinging tightly to Mbeli’s belly during the day. Photo by Madeleine Smitham
