To celebrate the opening of the Information Age gallery at London's @ScienceMuseum this ‘Information bouquet’ was hand-made by the Museum’s Inventor in Residence, Mark Champkins, using telegraph printing tape and punch cards taken from the Science Museum Archives.
Telegraph paper tape is one of the earliest electrical communications mediums, and such tape, known as ‘ticker tape’ in the USA, has also been used as confetti and streamers in times of celebration.
