We met and that was enough
The fall was a gift
And love was gentle between our fingertips

oceans and the distances
that felt like swimming pools.
So happy we would be
To jump in
And find eachother again
and again
And we would move in and make promises and breakfast
And write songs about how the light caresses
the hidden parts of our skin
And my insides would leap
When you touched me
And form words
That take 9 months to perfect
And become
The most beautiful sentence
Ever born.
