[ Calling all Instagram users from Singapore, this special announcement from @instasg is for you! ] _____________________________ As Singapore celebrated its 49th birthday, Instagramers Singapore (@InstaSG) prepared for an Instagram exhibition with a theme “Mad About Singapore”. The Open Call invites the submission for the exhibition, through the hashtag #MadAboutSingapore - and at the closing of the open call, almost 11,000 pictures were tagged for this exhibition. 100 pictures were selected by the panel of judges with the help of some outstanding Singapore Instagramers. @InstaSG has also worked with few other Singapore communities; @exploresingapore and @gf_singapore - to recognise Singapore Instagramers of the Year 2014; not just for the inspiring works but also for their friendship and support in the Singapore Instagram world. These are the Singapore Instagramers of the Year 2014: @bearfangs, @_yafiqyusman_, @twelvestones, @imzperfect_gf, @m_herwin, @midzisupremo, @j.osh, @roland_lim InstaSG is working together with @MADschoolEduSg to publish a photobook showcasing the work of these outstanding instgramers. The book is not available for commercial sales, but rather will be distributed in the national libraries of Singapore, as well as school libraries - as the objective is to share the inspiration and encouragement for Singapore youth to pick up on photography and positive social media lifestyle. Together with the 100 pictures from #MADaboutSingapore open call, their works will also be featured in "MAD about Singapore" exhibition at ION Orchard (@ION_Orchard), a top luxury shopping mall in Singapore. The exhibition will run at at ION Orchard (Basement 4, ION Station) from Friday, Sep 26th until Oct 1st.
