#gotgpicoftheday Closeup of another awesome background actor makeup by David White. Our onset code for these guys was 'goofies', which I always thought was a little demeaning for an entire species but, oh well. This was one of the more frustrating effects for the wearer because it covered their mouths. The first day they couldn't talk at all but the second day they worked out a way to more easily remove the mouthpiece for short periods of time. Still, I'd come by and they'd be mumbling to each other through the prosthetic, which seemed entirely alien. They as a group were some of the nicest and happiest of the bunch, so I used them a lot throughout filming. #gotg #guardiansofthegalaxy
