With #LAfoodieswap turning 1 this month I'm finding more and more ways that I have been affected by the practice of people creating goods from the raw items readily available in their native environments. It is changing the way that I think about food, how and why we consume it, as well as how I think about waste, recycling, and upcycling. This next year I want to use less, consume more thoughtfully, and do both with an awareness of their innate relational virtues.
