SENIOR SUNDAY! Today, @susiesseniordogs would liken to share with you a successful tale of a adopted family!
Maria and her mom adopted 8 year old Lily, a Maltese, from their local shelter. They also volunteer there by caring for and bringing great joy to the dogs who are stuck without a home. This mother/daughter duo is very inspiring! Maria writes, "At first we thought we couldn't volunteer because we would suffer so much at the sight of so many helpless, sad animals. But once you start and you see all the good that comes out of every second you're there it is beyond worth it. My mom owns her own business and is always working, but the time she takes out to volunteer at the shelter is definitely a place of relaxation for her because you get to see how your time is changing the lives of the pets at the shelter, of the people adopting them, and even your own."
