ALS in short for Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, affects the motor neurons in our brain and spinal code. As a result, muscles start to waste away leading to paralysis. This rare disease is currently incurable but with more awareness and funds, we can propel change and push for more research for a cure for this and more rare diseases in the world.
