I’ve been tagged by @lisnupclothing to take the Ice Bucket Challenge, a viral movement to raise awareness of Amyotrophic later sclerosis, also known as #ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease.  #ALS attacks the nerve cells controlling voluntary muscle movement, yet leaves the person’s mental capability intact. There is no treatment and no cure for #ALS.
I lost my Aunt Sheral a few months ago to #ALS. She was such a beautiful person and was known for her goodness. Her passing is still very painful, but I feel blessed that I was able to have her a part of my life. I pray for her every day and ask Allah to give her the Highest Paradise Ameen.

Viral fad or not, I find the challenge refreshing! No, I will not be dumping ice water on my head, but I am very excited about the remarkable new public awareness and fundraising campaign. I will donate $100 to the ALS Association in honor of my late Aunt Sheral. My company @LouellaShop will also donate $100 to raise awareness of #ALS.
