The community @tylerriewer and I stayed with in Uganda used to make multiple trips, walking 2 1/2 miles to Lake Victoria (pictured) everyday to collect water.

So happy that ordinary people like you and me made a decision to be generous and do something about this crisis and now they have a clean water project right in their village and no longer have to drink this dirty lake water.

All of us have the opportunity to do something. If everyone did something, there's no telling what we could accomplish.
