A lot of people say they want to change the world, but few actually do it. @joanbenoitsamuelson is one of the few. On August 5th, 1984, she won the first Women’s Olympic Marathon as a member of Team USA. At the time, women made up about 10% of marathon finishers. And 30 years later, that number has more than quadrupled. We dug up some of the items that got her there, including her 1984 training journal and one of the shoes that crossed the line.
