Early in our relationship, Tom and I made a list of the various World Wonders that we wanted to visit.

After Tom passed away, I wondered if I would have the courage to travel without him, creating memories and seeing sites that should have included him. In December of 2011, I took a chance and visited the Taj Mahal and the Colosseum. It was a bittersweet trip but I knew Tom would want me to continue living my life and finish the list.

Today I checked off one more item: Chichen Itza, the spectacular ruins of the ancient Mayan city in Mexico. It was an incredible day that I spent soaking up the history and remembering Tom.

The only place remaining on our list is the Great Wall of China, which I absolutely plan on seeing in the not so distant future. #TapTapTap
