Susanna Hoffs and Petra Haden at the Satellite. Vicki Peterson came up to play guitar on "Hero Takes a Fall", but I don't have any pictures of that. Susanna (yes, I am name dropping) told me a story about writing that song. Their producer, David Kahne, told them that they had to try to write a song with a straight ahead eighth note feel, as opposed to all the uptempo songs they were coming up with. They wrote it with no instruments! Just drumming on their knees. Brilliant request, genius result. Photo by @stevenperilloux_
