by @dswt "This weekend, elephant orphans Lima Lima, Quanza, and Zongoloni graduated from the Nairobi Nursery to our new Elephant Rehabilitation Centre in Umani. They join first arrivals Murera and Sonje, who made the move earlier this week.

Together these five orphans, who have formed a close friendship whilst at the Nursery, form an important and essential herd representing the future of elephant populations in the Kibwezi Forest.

Although they were all rescued under heart-breaking circumstances, we are delighted to have witnessed their positive development over the years and proud to see them now taking their next steps to a life back in the wild.

In this photo, #Murera and #Sonje excitedly welcome #Zongoloni, #Quanza, and #LimaLima to their new home in #Umani.
