In spring 2005 I headed put on an trip armed only with my cell phone as my camera. It was a new camera by Sony Ericsson and had a 3.4 meg capture, quite advanced for the time. The idea was to travel and post what ever moved me. I was advised by a few very well known photographers not to do the trip. I was on the road for fifty days....from Maine to LA and Oregon to Florida. I put 18K on my #VWEUROVAN and visited a few dozen relatives while posting a few hundred images from the trip on a Website hosted by #AmericanPhoto it is now hard to imagine a world/life or career without the presence of social media. A world #pre-Instagram what would that be like. I sure wish I would have understood what photo sharing was going to become.
