My mom loves hiking even more than I do, and she does it just about every single day. She and my dad always knew they'd retire north of the city, on the shore of the lake they both cottaged on as kids. And roughly fifty years from the day they met, they did exactly that. (As someone with slightly more ephemeral "goals," I find this all very exciting.)
