I did not fully begin to appreciate the words/actions of my father until my late teens. As a boy he required my brothers and I to do things that made us "uncool" or a "square". He unwaveringly held us to a standard that seemed impractical for the present day and age. He refused to let us take the easy way out and peppered us with words that at the time were difficult to comprehend. It took me almost 20 yrs to understand that although we were boys he was molding us to be men. Thank you Father for understanding that I would spend the majority of my life as a man and that my adolescence was the time to build that man.
