Back in the days.. in the late 70's, When he & I were chilling, inseparably.. And we did for years & years, sharing music, trading records, discussing jazz, slavery, culture, origins of whatever he felt I needed to know the origin of! He saw me growing up and must have shaken his head a million times. I remember him starting calling me "Afrikano" (and Lord knows how many other nicknames ?). Losing him was losing my DAD, my Rock, my buddy, my Bill Cosby. This is the first Fathersday without having him. For today I would have bought him a bag of music again and he would have said: "Ey! Afrikano, you're back!"
