#WorldCup2014 kicks off in #Brazil today, and in honor of the world-wide popularity and significance of the event, @TIME Magazine LightBox presents a series of photos of some of the most devoted soccer fans in the country by photographer @SebastianListe, including this portrait of Carlos Henrique do Nascimento, 46, also known as Caíque, who is reputed to bring luck to Rio de Janeiro's Club de Regatas #VascodaGama. He goes to all the games with a banner that reads ‘faith’ and the leaves of a rue plant that many people in Brazil believe brings luck.
