Last night I had the honor of attending the Los Angeles premiere of the incredible documentary, #TheCaseAgainst8. Beautifully directed by Ben Cotner (@bjcotner) and Ryan White (@white815), the film documents the controversial legal battle to overturn California's Proposition 8. I was profoundly moved and inspired by the entire team of people who selflessly fought to overturn the unjust ban of same-sex marriage. ---------------------------------------
I am beyond proud of and thankful to my dear friends @PaulKatami, Jeff Zarrillo, and @ChadHunterGriffin for devoting their hearts, souls, and years of their lives to this monumental case. It is undoubtedly one of the most important in United States civil rights history and was a huge proponent in moving the LGBT equal rights movement forward.
