More of the Churchill War Rooms. Here is where the members of Cabinet sat to make all the important, top secret decisions of WW2. The chair behind that red box is where Churchill sat. On the arms of the chair, you can see where he compulsively rubbed his signet ring against the wood, making deep grooves. The red box was his also. They literally walked out of these rooms, left everything exactly as it was, locked the doors and didn't open them again for over 40 years. Now it is preserved and a part of the most impressive Churchill museum, which is attached. History is so fn cool. And this country has so much of it.
