Maksym, a native of the Ukraine, is playing at the #USAVopen for the Regulators out of Chicago. How did you end up in Chicago? “I was born in the Ukraine and after school I joined a program that sent us around the world to get more experience. I’ve lived in Ireland, where I learned English, Russia, where I played in their club leagues and now in the U.S.” You don’t have much of an Irish accent. “I was only there for six months, then I went to Ohio.” Did you play volleyball in Ohio? “No, I didn’t play until I went to Chicago where my friends are.” #HumansofVB
