Happy Mothers Day! Each time a child is born, a mother is also born. Yet each day 800 women lose their lives bringing life into the world. That’s one woman every two minutes. However, 90 percent of these deaths are preventable. This Mother's Day, Every Mother Counts (everymothercounts.org), the non-profit organization dedicated to making pregnancy and childbirth safe for every mother is introducing the Every 2 Minutes campaign, calling on all mothers to raise awareness to support mothers and mothers-to-be globally. Every Mother Counts was founded by Christy Turlington Burns, @クリスティー・ターリントン one of Time magazine’s 2014, 100 Most Influential people, a super-role-model and a personal friend.
