This image taken aboard the ISS today shows the island country of Bahrain. Several artificial islands can be seen. On the lower right is the Amwaj, and on the left is the Durrat Al Bahrain which consists of six atolls, five fish-shaped islands and two crescent-shaped islands. The country of Bahrain is a collection of 33 islands located off the eastern coastline of Saudi Arabia in the Persian Gulf. NASA PAO
