I drove to Austin to meet this handsome 12 year-old GSP past weekend. His name is Merle. He was surrendered to a rescue because the owner "didn't have time for him." Gasp, right? I met him at a dog park and he was one of the most playful and energetic guys there. He follows anyone who would throw a ball for him and drops a ball at a stranger's feet and stares at it...like a Border Collie. ? Foster mom said he is a mellow couch potato at home.
