This #ThrowbackThursday is from @honolulumag. Our Diamond Head when it was black-and-white! :) --- #TBT: Three generations view of Waikiki. J.J. Williams photographed its coconut groves and marshes (top) before the turn of the century. His son, James A. Williams shot the photo above around 1930, when the Royal Hawaiian Hotel and Ala Wai Canal were newcomers on the scene. In grandson Alex Williams' photo (left), groves of high-rises have supplanted the coconut palms.
