#Green is mai #wearapy color of the day, and I don't just wear the color, I drink it. Raw, green, yummy smoothies are one of my essentials to start each day. I get asked alot how I can stay in shape while eating all mai fave foods that I refuse to give up like onion rings, chocolate martinis, com tam bi (viet rice dish), pho, truffle burgers..you get it. I have an 80/20 rule: I eat 80% healthy, 20% naughty. Healthy would be lots of fresh, dark greens and fruit. I make a big batch to last 4 days and freeze it to have on hand for longer. A tasty basic beginner shake is the #GlowingGreenSmoothie by @_kimberlysnyder. Ingredients below. Try it, then start taking it 2.0 with coconut water, berries, greek yogurt, chia seeds, peanut butter, etc. Take a pic and tag me if you try this...we're gonna look so fly in them bikinis this summer ladies!
12 to 16 ounces filtered water
1 head Romaine lettuce (I use 6 leaves of kale. More fiber for..you know.)
1 cup spinach
3 celery stalks
1 apple (cored)
1 pear (cored)
1 banana
Juice 1/2 lemon
1 cup ice and blend :)
